Hello everyone,
In our new build, the electrical installation is currently in progress. I noticed that the electrician installed four switches in the bedroom directly opposite four switches in the bathroom on an 11.5 cm (4.5 inch) interior wall. In some cases, deep electrical boxes (about 6 cm (2.4 inches)) were used, so that the back sides of the plastic boxes are directly facing each other without any masonry in between. I am now concerned about sound insulation. The electrician has not finished the work yet, so I could ask him to make changes. In our initial conversation, the electrician downplayed the issue, likely because he wants to avoid additional work. Are my concerns justified, and is he obliged to make corrections at his own expense?

Hello,
we are planning to create a walk-in closet between the bathroom and bedroom, so our bathroom will be quite small.
At the moment, there is just a thin wall between them, which can be quite annoying. We work in shifts, and it does bother us; you can even hear when toilet paper is being torn off and various other noises.
So, I don’t think the outlets will be the problem, it’s more about the entire wall.
Best regards, Olli
