Hello.
Which type of dimmer would you install? A push-button dimmer or a rotary dimmer?
For us, it is mainly about ease of use. Since we have not used any dimmers so far, this small decision is a bit difficult for us...

I find rotary dimmers much more intuitive.

I also find rotary dimmers more practical because they are quicker to operate.

A rotary dimmer will always operate with a rotary potentiometer (and cannot be smart), whereas a push-button dimmer can also work with step control.

We have a few rotary switches used as push buttons from Gi Gambarelli. You need to hit the exact spot and hold it. They operate via Eltakos in the distribution board, which is why there is also a wireless push button. Conclusion: rotary push buttons do exist, but at least ours are not very intuitive.

I find rotary dimmers much more intuitive.

That’s also my “research finding.”

(I didn’t quite understand your description, Hampshire. Do you experience it the other way around?)
