Hello

We have an air-source heat pump and solar thermal panels on the roof. Additionally, a Grünbeck water softening system.

Silly question: with cars, people usually prefer to have an inspection every year. How does it work with these systems? Should a plumber come every year? Or how do you handle it?

I think it’s similar with an air-source heat pump as with a gas boiler: it should be serviced annually :-)

Our heat pump with solar system: In the first 2 years, once only, in order to have the warranty extension up to and including year 5 (even without further maintenance). Our heating engineer’s recommendation: once a year. After last year’s maintenance by the heating engineer: You can also do it yourself, except for bleeding the solar system,...
