Hello

I would like to install indirect LED lighting in several rooms.
I am thinking of mounting a strip about 10cm (5 inches) below the ceiling.
The LED strip will be placed in this profile.
Attached is a picture showing roughly what I have in mind.

The transformer should also be hidden behind the panel.
Where there is a window, I would like to use the strip as a curtain rail as well.
Has anyone done something like this before?
What should I consider, and how can I mount the strip?

1. Choose high-quality electronics and LEDs. This does not have to be expensive.
2. Consider the power supply requirements regarding heat dissipation.
3. You can use any material you like for the strip cladding. It does not matter, as the lighting does not impose any special structural requirements. If you want something with a fastening system, check what types of curtain tracks are available that have a closed top. You can simply install it upside down.

Funny, my father still has that classic tube system in his house from the 1960s ;-) Nobody seems to know that anymore around here.

The items you are looking for are called light coves.

I was still in contact with the electrician. During this, other ideas came up.
What do you think of these options?
What are the advantages and disadvantages?
