Hello

I would like to install indirect LED lighting in several rooms.
I am thinking of mounting a strip about 10cm (5 inches) below the ceiling.
The LED strip will be placed in this profile.
Attached is a picture showing roughly what I have in mind.

The transformer should also be hidden behind the panel.
Where there is a window, I would like to use the strip as a curtain rail as well.
Has anyone done something like this before?
What should I consider, and how can I mount the strip?

A list? Clever... 😉

An image is attached,

Unfortunately, it’s missing. Therefore, there is (so far) no answer either.

Sorry, it is probably called a molding.
And here is the picture

Hi,

I implemented it exactly like this. For the mounting, I used the Vidga wall hooks and rail from IKEA. I screwed an aluminum profile onto the board on the back, which was then attached to the IKEA hooks. The COB LED strip is also mounted on this aluminum profile.

The power supply can be placed either behind the board or on top of the curtain rails; it’s best to use a dimmable one right from the start.

It looks nice.
I want to use this lighting for almost all rooms.
Are there possibly other solutions where the strip/board is a bit thinner?

I believe there is nothing standard off the shelf anyway, so you can saw the trims as thin or thick as you want.
