ᐅ Ikea Utrusta Hinge 153mm – Seeking Tips for Adjusting Height

Today I installed the 153 hinge for the first time and I don’t understand how to adjust the door height. The installation manual shows the same steps for height and lateral adjustment, but for me only the lateral adjustment works. Or do I need to apply more force here?

If you open the door about 80° wide, you can reach the screw for the lateral adjustment; at about 60°, you can reach the one for height adjustment.

Oh, I didn’t notice that third screw – you mean the one that’s deeper than the other two? If so, it’s locked in tight and won’t budge. But right now, I can only reach it with a small flathead screwdriver because the one with the bit attachment doesn’t fit. I guess I’ll have to make a trip to the hardware store.

The screw is located on the mounting plate, so you can access it directly when you unclip the hinge.
Buy a PZ2 screwdriver; you will always need it.

Thank you. And yes, it has been on the list for a long time. I already have the bits, but for narrow, tight spaces, those magnetic bit holders can be quite limiting (the fronts on Maximera barely work *cough*).
