Hello,

Unfortunately, I can’t find any advanced help regarding the use of an Uppleva TV. We are specifically experiencing the issue that the TV darkens even further during dark scenes. We have disabled both the automatic brightness adjustment and the power-saving mode, and also installed the latest firmware.

During bright scenes, the TV displays vibrant and brilliant images. However, in dark scenes, it is clearly noticeable that the electronics dim the picture as if someone is turning down a dimmer switch. Because of this, it is impossible to watch a movie in daylight, and even in a darkened room, the image is barely visible in dark scenes (for example, in basement shots or typical vampire movie scenes).

It seems that the automatic brightness control is causing problems even though it is set to OFF.

Does anyone have any ideas?
A link to further information would also be appreciated—I haven’t found anything so far.

Thanks and best regards from Vienna,
Portuer

Is there actually any other way to transfer the TV audio to a system besides using the headphone output? My roommate does watch TV from time to time after all...

Hello Furt, did you also turn off the light sensor?

Hello everyone,
After a long search, I finally found a solution.

You just need to change the location setting to "Business" in the "Options" menu. I left everything else as it was. However, I immediately increased the brightness for myself, and that was it.
