Hello,
I have a bedroom that is 280cm (110 inches) long, and the best way to make use of the space would be with a 2m (6 ft 6 in) Pax wardrobe and a corner unit. Since there isn’t a lot of room, I definitely want sliding doors on the 2m (6 ft 6 in) wide wardrobe, but I don’t want to leave the corner unit open. If I put hinged doors on the corner unit, can that work together with the sliding doors? I can also imagine slightly offsetting the corner unit by 2–3cm (around 1 inch) if that would help.
Please help. At Ikea, of course, I’ve only gotten the usual answer: no, it won’t work.

Take a look at the assembly instructions for the corner element here.
Many things are possible, but whether it looks good afterward is another matter.
If you want to attach a 58cm (23 inch) deep cabinet carcass, you’ll need to pull the corner element flush forward anyway. Do you have enough space on the other side? Check the measurements in the assembly instructions; they specify 96cm (38 inches) of space needed to attach a 58cm (23 inch) deep carcass. You also need to add 8cm (3 inches) because the carcass with sliding door is 66cm (26 inches) deep.
It’s best to cut out cardboard templates to scale and see if the space fits.
