Hello,

Three years ago, I bought two Ivar shelves for my basement, and they were super easy to assemble. Now I’ve moved and today I bought two more for my small storage room. However, I can’t get these ones together because they have a different side attachment. You can no longer simply place the boards on the supports. I think you have to place the boards on the supports and then tap them in with a hammer. I’ve tried, but even that is really difficult, so I gave up, because Ivar usually goes together without tools, except for the cross braces.

I’ve assembled so many Ikea furniture pieces, so I can’t believe it should be this hard with Ivar.

Can someone help me?

Best regards, Orangine

Hello,

as chance would have it, I assembled one last week.
The boards are simply pressed in until you hear a click. It takes a bit of force, but you shouldn’t need a hammer for this.
