Hello Ikea fans,
I’m currently assembling the base cabinets for my new kitchen, and unfortunately, the legs that come with them are too long. The stove and sink have a standard height of 85cm (33.5 inches), but the base cabinets are 70cm (27.5 inches) high, and the legs are unfortunately 16cm (6.3 inches). The countertop still needs to go on top of that. Is this a common issue? How is it usually solved? If I simply shorten the legs, the kickboard won’t fit anymore. Hmm...
I’m sure you’ve heard of this before.

Ah, your sink is one of those pre-assembled modules.
Did you also measure the cabinet box? If I calculated correctly, it is 71.2cm (28 inches). The difference then shows in the drawers and doors.
This is not a problem specific to Ikea. You are trying to combine two different systems, a modular/free-standing kitchen with a fitted kitchen.
Best regards,
