Hello everyone, I am currently planning a DIY project using the Ikea Besta system and want to integrate a wine rack into it. My specific question is: How can a wine rack be effectively built into the modular BESTA units so that it is stable, visually appealing, and provides enough space for standard wine bottles? It is important to me to have the right shelf dimensions as well as mounting options to securely store the bottles without them slipping. Has anyone had experience with this or can offer advice on the best technical approach? Tips on suitable shelves, materials, or additional components would also be helpful. Great to see so many useful tips gathered here already! 😊 For my own wine rack, I used a combination of plywood shelves and metal rods as bottle stoppers in addition to Theo63’s recommendation – this provides really good support and looks great too! My biggest tip: Don’t be afraid to experiment a little and customize the modules to your taste. The DIY process is a lot of fun, and you can really see the results in the end!
