ᐅ How to Adjust an Ikea Freezer Compartment to Close Properly?

Hello everyone,

Some time ago, we successfully assembled a new Ikea kitchen.
At that time, we spent quite a while fitting the refrigerator door so that it would close properly within the Faktum tall cabinet with 3 doors. We have a fridge-freezer combo.
The tall cabinet is positioned with its left side against the wall. On the right side of the cabinet carcass, we screwed on a colored panel so that the carcass is no longer visible. The countertop begins there.
As is well known, the panel protrudes slightly, so when the door is closed, it forms a flush surface.

Now to the problem:

I can only close the refrigerator and freezer doors if they rub against the panel. The hinges cannot be adjusted to move the doors further away from the panel. Trying different adjustments has made it worse.

Does anyone have any idea how I could solve this? I hope I’ve explained the situation clearly enough.
The hinges are somewhat shallower than normal hinges, like the one on the top door above the fridge-freezer combo.

I would be grateful for any suggestions.

Good luck

But then it might become too tight on the other side, right? Can’t you reposition the cabinet?

As you describe it, the gap between the door and the countertop should be smaller on one side in the middle and larger on the other side than at the ends.

If necessary, could you wedge something between the cabinet body and the refrigerator on one side to increase the gap?

Uncle Sam’s solution would be the simplest, but that would create a dirt gap between the cabinet body and the countertop.
