Hello dear building experts!
I am planning to install underfloor heating in my living room with parquet flooring (oiled beech). I have found many different opinions about this online. Many advise against it and warn about cracking in the parquet.
But is this really the case, and could it possibly be avoided by choosing a specific type of wood or installation method (floating or glued)?

Annegret-15 Nov 2015 12:32Yes, we have done the same and decided on oak parquet flooring. The floor installer assured us that there would be no issues with the underfloor heating.
We will start with this next week. Then the next winter can come, and I won’t feel so cold anymore.
