Hello dear experts!
I am a complete beginner in all areas of house construction, but I have been trying to educate myself here for a long time. Now I have the following question about our building project. We are a household of 5 people and will be getting a brine-to-water ground source heat pump (boreholes 2 x 80m (260 feet)). Since we have chosen a bathtub with a capacity of 295 liters (78 gallons), we are supposed to have a buffer tank of 370 liters (98 gallons). However, I think the bathtub is never filled completely, and a person also takes up some space ;-) Wouldn’t a 300-liter (79 gallons) buffer tank be sufficient in this case? Could you please answer my question like this? Best regards

Completely misunderstood the initial information, but yes, hypothetically a possibility, just unfortunately not the topic of the thread. The title is buffer tank and below the question is about the domestic hot water tank.

So first clarify: Are we talking here about the domestic hot water tank for 5 people and a “party bathtub” or the storage tank for the underfloor heating system? Similar topics
