Hello everyone,
I have a technical question about the lighting options for Ikea Brimnes furniture. Specifically, I am looking for practical and aesthetically pleasing ways to enhance these pieces, especially the cabinets and display units, using accent lighting. I am interested both in the technical possibilities (e.g., LED strips, spotlights, smart lighting) and design tips that highlight the character of the furniture without making it look cheap or makeshift.
Experiences with hidden lighting, special light colors, or craftsmanship solutions for integrating lighting into the furniture would be very helpful. It is important to me that the overall effect in the room is harmonious and works well with other light sources.
How do you approach lighting for Brimnes, what mistakes should be avoided, and how can a modern yet cozy atmosphere be achieved?
Thank you in advance for your detailed suggestions!

It is also important that the light color matches the surroundings: with light-colored walls and floors, a slightly warmer light is often more pleasant to avoid a harsh atmosphere.
For practical installation, I recommend clamp profiles for LED strips, as they can be mounted without leaving marks and offer flexible positioning.
Additionally, careful cable management is valuable—not only for aesthetic reasons but also for safety.
