Hello everyone, I have recently been focusing on the care of my IKEA Metod kitchen countertops and am looking for a gentle, scratch-free cleaning method. The surfaces seem sensitive to abrasive sponges and harsh cleaners, which makes it challenging to clean them thoroughly while being careful not to damage them. Does anyone have experience or specific tips on how to best clean these countertops without causing microscopic scratches? I am especially interested in recommendations for suitable cleaning products and which tools work best to maintain the appearance for as long as possible. Thank you in advance for any helpful advice!

Since I started drying it thoroughly after cleaning and using only a small amount of a mild care product, it stays cleaner longer and hasn’t developed any scratches.
Sometimes it also helps to regularly wipe critical spots with just a damp cloth and no chemicals, to prevent dirt buildup.
In my opinion, the most important thing is patience during cleaning and not applying too much pressure. This way, the surface remains nice and intact for longer.
