Good morning everyone, I have a question that’s been on my mind for a few weeks and I’m hoping to hear about your experiences: What is the best way to clean Ikea Pax wardrobes with matte surfaces? It’s important to me that the surface isn’t damaged, as matte painted fronts are often more delicate than high-gloss or veneer finishes. Can special cleaning products be used for this, or is a damp cloth sufficient? My main concern is that aggressive cleaners might harm the matte effect or leave unpleasant stains. Who has tips on proper care and cleaning that won’t damage the material over time? I would also appreciate advice on what to avoid. Thanks in advance for your detailed feedback!
I also have mine with a matte finish and followed the same process – you really can’t tell if it’s done properly. Sometimes I wipe it with warm water, but only very lightly damp, then dry it immediately. That way, the cabinet looks like new. And hey, if something doesn’t go as planned, just stay relaxed—it’s not surgery 🙂
