Ugly scratches have appeared in the enamel coating of my bathtub. Is there a way to remove them? I am thinking of something like car polish – but for the bathtub. Does something like this exist?

We also had to do this once because our dog often went crazy while being bathed. He doesn’t like water, so bath time was always terrible for him. Since we didn’t know any better, we hired a specialized company for the job. They used a kind of molding compound. From that point on, the dog was bathed in a children’s bathtub, and we had no more problems. It also lasted forever.

I also bought a set like this from the hardware store. But it is quite hard work and not really suitable for rough hands. However, after a few attempts, I managed to get it done. I just hope it will last for a while.

And I always thought hard work also requires rough hands, hmm how wrong you can be :p
Regarding the repair kits, I think they are a good solution. If the bathtub is too scratched, there are even new coatings available, but they are very expensive, so in some cases buying a new bathtub is more worthwhile.

I’m familiar with this problem as well, but the scratches on my bathtub never completely disappeared. I used a sort of enamel from a tube. Somehow, there is a slight color difference.
