I am currently trying to update our house and am removing the old wallpaper in the hallway. It has a kind of plastic foam coating on the surface, which makes it very difficult to remove with water. I have to go over it with a sponge for a long time to reach the base layer. Overall, using a scraper to remove it is just as time-consuming. Does anyone have any tips on how to remove this stubborn wallpaper as quickly as possible?

It took me some time to get the hang of using this spiked roller. Slowly roll it over the entire wallpaper, which creates small perforations in the paper. Then soak it thoroughly, and the wallpaper will come off easily.
