Hello everyone, I’m currently planning to design a wall unit using IKEA Platsa and want to connect the individual modules as flexibly and aesthetically pleasing as possible. I’m interested in design options, such as which combinations of cabinets, open compartments, and doors work best, as well as tips for color and material choices in the context of modern living rooms. Additionally, it would be great if someone could share their experience regarding wall mounting or practical extension options like integrated lighting. How can Platsa be best used to create a functional yet visually attractive wall unit? Looking forward to your ideas and suggestions!

I have had very good experiences with the PLATSA vertical connectors for securely joining multiple modules.

That sounds interesting, it’s exactly what I need. Do you have any tips on how to plan such connections best for irregular room shapes? I have a corner with a small niche, and somehow I want to arrange the modules there so that it looks compact but not cramped.

Also, I’m considering doors with glass panels to create some transparency, but I’m unsure if they are easy enough to maintain. Maybe you could share some pros and cons regarding glass doors versus solid doors.
