Our house is finally completed.
What do we need to consider now after completion, and what still needs to be arranged?

Heating and Ventilation! Report any defects as early as possible.

Set up the heating system and other technical installations correctly or have them set up professionally. During the first year, have them adjusted repeatedly until everything functions optimally.

First of all, it’s time to share as many photos and stories here as possible. 😉

What have you already done? Are you living there yet? Brainstorming:

- Home insurance for the building
- Adjust contents insurance if needed after moving in
- If you have a new garage: update your car insurance (especially when changing residence)
- Plan maintenance, possibly keep a calendar
- Introduce yourself to the neighbors
- Remember snow removal services
- Garden planning
- Review your finances and set aside reserves (early loan repayment, repairs, renovations, etc.)
- Check for defects before the warranty expires (you can already mark this in your calendar).

Notify the local authority about the completion of construction.
Register the building completion with the state statistical office.
Arrange for waste collection.
Ask the local authority for the property tax assessment notice.
If there is still budget available, initiate the building survey immediately.
Adjust the advance payments for gas, water, and electricity.
