ᐅ Building a House Near a Stormwater Detention Basin – Moisture Issues?

Hello everyone,

I wanted to quickly ask if it can be dangerous or if there are any precautions to take when there is a rainwater retention basin located very close to the property where the house is being built (adjacent).

From my point of view, if the property is being sold despite this, there should be no risk, right? Moisture or anything similar?

At most, a mosquito nuisance (depending on the weather that year). And you just have to keep the children away from there, but that’s necessary anyway, no matter where you live. On the plus side, no one builds right in front of your nose 🙂
