We believe we have now found a suitable architect for our project.
The initial consultation was very pleasant—the completed houses match our style, and personally, everything feels right so far. (At least for now—we hope it stays that way 😊)
We have received proposals covering the different phases of service. We agreed that we can commission them step by step.
Now to my question: what should we pay attention to in the contract?
Attached are the framework conditions we received in the offer:
Phases of service 1–4 up to and including planning permission.
- Includes 3 different preliminary designs with cost estimates, as well as final design planning, planning permission, and building permit application.
- Includes development of visualizations / photorealistic exterior renderings of the building, as well as calculation of the site’s ground levels.
- Thermal insulation calculations if needed—separate offer (and therefore additional costs).
Since this is our only offer with this level of detail, we would like to know if everything seems appropriate or if there is anything else we should be aware of.
