Hello everyone,
I just registered here, hoping to get some help.
While browsing through the forums, I noticed that I really like it here – very interesting topics and tips that can be helpful.
My name is Chris, 48 years old, an employee (almost two left hands, so definitely not a professional), and I’m from southern Bavaria.
My uncle owns an old mountain house where we occasionally go to relax.
It has an old concealed cistern flushing system – probably an Italian design.
I couldn’t find anything about it online.
My question:
The toilet flush was constantly running. I descaled the cistern, but that didn’t help. Then I unscrewed the lid. The flush valve, or whatever it’s called, in this system is some kind of rubber ball that presses on the water outlet (presumably). This bellows is attached to a plastic pipe that hooks onto the flush handle at the top.
My problem is that I don’t know how the rubber ball is attached at the bottom or if it’s defective, etc. I’m not familiar with how it works and it’s hard to see inside the cistern.
Can someone give me a tip?
Where can I get replacement parts or manuals?
Thanks in advance for your help,
Chris
