Hi, maybe someone here can help. I want to afford a greenhouse since vegetables are getting more expensive.

My question is, should I choose full glazing or Plexiglas, which also lets sunlight through but at the same time prevents too much sun from burning the vegetables?

Hi, I personally prefer fully glazed panels with thermal insulation glass, as it looks much nicer 🙂 Of course, this is also a cost issue. Using acrylic glass (plexiglass) would definitely be a more affordable option.

That is a good idea to set up a greenhouse. I prefer full glass; it looks better, and with this insulated glass, the requirements are met.

Hi Kurt, but it is also more expensive, by far more expensive when it comes to the initial construction. It’s no coincidence that most large greenhouses are only covered with a durable plastic film to keep costs manageable.
When I look at the vegetable prices in stores, having a greenhouse is definitely something to consider.

I have also noticed that the prices for vegetables have increased significantly. I am planning to set up a greenhouse as well. However, mine will be made of plastic sheeting, and my neighbor has had one like that for a year now. The costs here are manageable.
