When is the right time to buy a garden shed? When do suppliers usually offer discounts?
We want to get a shed about 3–3.5 meters (10–11.5 feet) long/wide. It should serve only a practical purpose. At least one window.

We want to get a shed about 3–3.5 meters (10–11.5 feet) long/wide. It should serve only a practical purpose. At least one window.
Just take a look at all the home improvement stores (advertisement).
We bought one last August (3m x 4m (10ft x 13ft)) for 990 €.
For stability reasons, make sure the wall thickness is at least 28mm (1 inch).
For the roofing (wanted a long-term, low-maintenance solution), I used trapezoidal metal sheets.
Altogether, including battens and small parts, that added up to about 400 €.
Then painted it in the color of the house – and the gem was complete.
PS: You can prepare the foundation yourself. Also, make sure the floor of the shed is ventilated from underneath. We set ours on paving stones that are 8cm (3 inches) high.
