Hello

When is the right time to buy a garden shed? When do suppliers usually offer discounts?

We want to get a shed about 3–3.5 meters (10–11.5 feet) long/wide. It should serve only a practical purpose. At least one window.

What kind of answer do you expect here?

In spring (the start of the gardening season), hardware stores often have garden sheds on offer. From what I know, garden centers sometimes include garden sheds again in their autumn / late autumn offers (I noticed this last year) – probably to clear stock or to avoid leaving the sheds outside during winter, which could reduce their value (or make them harder to sell later).

However, it also depends on whether you want to buy a “functional garden shed” from a hardware store or a (hopefully) higher-quality one (with thicker walls, etc.) from a specialist shed manufacturer. The latter might not adjust their prices.

What do you think about the house builder? He doesn’t want anything to do with the little house^^ he says it’s not his area of expertise. We are supposed to build the little house ourselves.

Haha,

you completely misunderstood me here. I meant “small house” literally.

There are also companies (smaller carpentry workshops) that specialize in garden sheds. I was recommended one (also for later) from the Black Forest region – but I would first need to look through the many building documents to find the name or website. Whether I will follow up on this recommendation, I’m not sure yet.

Ah, I see 🙂 yes, but I don’t want to know how much a carpenter would charge for a 3x3 garden shed, roughly...

If you already know where it should be located, just check the promotional brochures.
