from when is it safe to hang pictures on the walls in a new solid construction? I have heard that especially on the exterior walls, you should wait for two years. Is that true?
Our hygrometers always show the air is too dry. That’s why I have placed several plants around.
Is it useful to get a moisture meter? They are available for about 20€, but do these provide reliable readings?

You can also measure the humidity and temperature.

As far as I know, with older buildings it’s recommended to leave some space between furniture and the exterior wall. In new constructions, there shouldn’t be any issues with placing cabinets directly against the wall. I’ve never really thought about it when it comes to hanging pictures... ops:
