Hi,
we soon need to decide on a garage floor covering, so I’d like to get your opinions.
Option 1: Smoothed concrete
+ included in the tender
+ durable
- slippery when wet
Option 2: Tiles
+ easy to keep clean
+ design options
- expensive
- slippery when wet
- vulnerable to damage from falling objects
Option 3: Screed
+ would make the building permit / planning permission cost-neutral as an alternative
+ not problematic when wet
- always dust on shoes
- stains from many liquids
What would you choose?
Regards,
Frank

No one wanted to deal with a floor drain because of possible water runoff – it seems to be prohibited... Yes, that’s what I was told as well. Due to the potential discharge of motor oils and similar substances that could then go directly into the sewer system.
