Hello,

I am new here and already have my first question. At the beginning of November, after several delays, our house construction finally started (Effizienzhaus70; one and a half stories; captain’s gable, etc. – a detailed diary will follow!). The project is managed through a general contractor. By now, excavation and backfilling were completed last week. This week, the frost protection edge was poured, and the slab insulation was laid with a vapor barrier and reinforcement mesh. The concrete was supposed to be poured today, but for reasons unknown to me, this did not happen. Now the site is left open, and here is my question:

Do I need to cover everything over the weekend to protect it from weather conditions, or can it remain exposed as it is?

Attached is a picture of the current status:

What do you want to cover the membrane with? Another membrane?

Just kidding; nothing is necessary, and nothing will happen.

All right. Thanks a lot. I wasn't entirely sure. I was just concerned about the formwork and insulation, so we wouldn't end up with a swimming pool on Monday. :p
