Hello everyone,
We are planning to build a semi-detached house next spring.
The dimensions of our semi-detached house are 8.5 m x 10 m (28 ft x 33 ft), and our part of the plot is about 400 sqm (4,300 sq ft).
There will be a garage with a covered area (carport) attached to the house on the west side, where the entrance is also located.
Ground floor: consists of an open kitchen (one row of cabinets along the carport wall and one cooking island facing the dining table) and a dining room (both on the south side, with floor-to-ceiling windows leading to the terrace). The living room is on the north side.
Upper floor: parents’ bedroom and bathroom on the north side, with two planned children’s rooms on the south side.
Basement with a light well (north side).
I would be very grateful for any suggestions 🙂
Thank you in advance! 🙄

Doc.Schnaggls19 Sep 2014 15:53Hello mannymaus,
Exactly, the stair direction will be shifted to the right.
We solved it by planning a slanted wall that does not extend all the way up to the ceiling, allowing light and a sense of openness.
I would also favor the wardrobe solution proposed by kbt09.
I really like the 45° angles on the attic doors – our attic will be something similar.
I am a bit concerned about the bathroom. Measure the distance between the washbasin and the bathtub – it looks very narrow. Here, either a corner bathtub or a bathtub installed around the corner would be recommended if the T-shaped layout is a must.
Best regards,
Dirk

you are right... the T-layout unfortunately doesn’t work in the bathroom. We were planning the bathroom today and now have to come up with a different arrangement, since the bathroom is too small for the T-layout...
Good luck
