does anyone know if the Paulmann Spot Circle (URail) flickers a lot? Unfortunately, the Paulmann hotline cannot provide any information on this.
I am uncertain because I have a Paulmann LED that flickers quite noticeably. The flickering is visible to the naked eye. In many photos, you can see a distinct black band caused by the flickering (visible with my RX 100 M4).

In any case, as Rick already said, try to narrow down the problem. Is the flickering happening everywhere? Maybe test it at a friend’s place. Does it flicker all the time or only at certain times?
