Hello everyone,

does anyone know if the Paulmann Spot Circle (URail) flickers a lot? Unfortunately, the Paulmann hotline cannot provide any information on this.

I am uncertain because I have a Paulmann LED that flickers quite noticeably. The flickering is visible to the naked eye. In many photos, you can see a distinct black band caused by the flickering (visible with my RX 100 M4).

If all three have it, something else must be wrong. LEDs today are no longer that difficult to dim. And I can’t imagine Paulmann using such a poor-quality dimmer.

I wouldn’t know what it could be. Other LEDs in the house don’t show this problem.

Are your other LEDs dimmable as well? Integrated dimmer or external? Are the three Paulmann lights on the same circuit?

Not dimmable.

Switched individually.

Connect the Paulmann, for example, to an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) to ensure you have stable voltage. If it still flickers, the issue is with the Paulmann. If not, it’s your electrical system.

By "circle," I meant more the circuit or the same wiring. With non-dimmable units, the flickering issue does not occur.

That is probably true. Since the circle spotlights are not dimmable, I might try those after all.
