Good morning everyone,

The house construction is nearing completion, and the plumber has installed a Hansgrohe universal concealed body DN 20 (3/4") No. 0180 for me.
Now he says that, suitable for this component, I can choose my faucet online.

What should I look for here? Pictures or links would be great.
Does anyone have an example? Do I now have to buy from Hansgrohe?
Thank you very much.

This is why, despite the warnings from others, I decided to go with surface-mounted fittings. They are truly versatile. My HSLer would have installed flush-mounted fittings, but when I asked him if those were reasonably universal, he said definitely not—you might get lucky, but usually compatibility is only within one manufacturer, and even then not with everything.

Maybe you’ll get lucky and find a good online shop with an appropriate filter function?

That said, I have to mention that Hansgrohe offers a good selection at a fair price. So before you drive yourself crazy, take a look at their range first.

My surface-mounted fixtures will all be Hansgrohe as well.

Thank you for your reply. Does that mean I need to look for a fitting with a DN 20 (3/4") size?

Then at least the piping will fit. Whether the fixture itself aligns properly with the in-wall module, I’m not sure. With Hansgrohe, I would generally expect it to, but when it comes to this topic, you can never rely on common sense, logic, or customer-friendliness. It’s best to get advice from a professional plumbing supplier.

This is only about the shower/bathtub faucet, right?
At Hansgrohe, this is actually called the iBox. You can basically only install the Hansgrohe ShowerSelect (possibly others as well), since the internal components need to be precisely matched to the iBox.
