Hello everyone,
we are currently planning our house construction. It should meet KfW55 or KfW70 standards. For KfW55, we don’t necessarily need a mechanical ventilation system with heat recovery, since the house is supplied with district heating and achieves KfW55 through appropriate thermal insulation alone (according to an employee of the municipal utility, the primary energy factor is 0.43).
However, I would like to have a ventilation system in the house for exhaust air from the kitchen and bathroom and fresh air intakes in the bedrooms and living room (through the walls with sound-insulating filters), all without heat recovery. What do you think about this?
If a simple mechanical ventilation system makes sense, is ventilation using wind-driven ventilators feasible and effective?
I would appreciate your opinions.
