As far as I understand from the construction company, KfW70 will become the standard starting next year. To qualify for proper funding, you will need KfW55. There might also be renaming of the programs, but I’m not really informed about that. There is a thread here discussing the changes in KfW funding.
Currently, the price difference between KfW70 and KfW55 varies depending on the provider (and the work required), but roughly speaking, it is around €6,000–10,000 (about $6,500–11,000).

Hello,
if your house is designed to KfW 70 standards, for example, a ventilation system (a decentralized one is more cost-effective) is enough to reach KfW 55.
This way, you can benefit from even better interest rates and a special repayment amount of 2500 € (euros) from KfW.
Best regards.

There are also providers who typically build to the KFW55 standard... it really depends on the provider.
Predicting the actual material costs is very difficult (especially since—as mentioned—there are many ways to achieve the same result)... and! in the end, it is not necessarily just additional costs, but also additional benefits.

Best regards, Bauexperte Hello Bauexperte,
In my case, it is definitely like that. I also believe I have read in the forum that you achieve KfW 55 instead of 70 through technology rather than just adding more insulation.
Why do you think that this usually is not the case?
Regards.
