Hello everyone,

Does the individual room control make sense with this combination? (My heat pump has an active-passive cooling system.)

This is, of course, a new build.

I’m interested in hearing your opinions.

No, it hasn’t made sense since at least the 2009 Energy Saving Ordinance. To put it bluntly, in any situation where a low-temperature heating system is used.

At least not the way the average homebuilder usually understands ERR.

No, ERR does not make sense in this configuration (and in 99% of cases not for underfloor heating systems either).

When does ERR actually make sense?

Well, here we are again with this often-discussed topic. We are currently planning our single-family house with exactly this configuration! When I threw out the now countless times read "No, it doesn’t make sense!" during the meeting with the architect and the heating engineer, I was met with wide-eyed looks. In the end, it came down to this: either I sign off that the heating engineer installs it against all laws and regulations and I waive any warranty, or I go for a simplified energy-efficient retrofit with KNX (after all, there are temperature sensors built into the MDT switches) and the heating actuators are not that expensive either. So, of course, I backed down.

That's exactly how we do it as well. Almost out of necessity.
