At least not in the way the average homeowner usually understands ERR. When does ERR actually make sense?
Well, here we are again with this often-discussed topic. We are currently planning our single-family house with exactly this configuration! When I threw out the now countless times read "No, it doesn’t make sense!" during the meeting with the architect and the heating engineer, I was met with wide-eyed looks. In the end, it came down to this: either I sign off that the heating engineer installs it against all laws and regulations and I waive any warranty, or I go for a simplified energy-efficient retrofit with KNX (after all, there are temperature sensors built into the MDT switches) and the heating actuators are not that expensive either. So, of course, I backed down.
