Hello,

what do you think about the expensive energy-saving lamps? Personally, I don’t like them—they are more expensive, don’t produce bright light, and look unattractive.

Yes, I also find them annoying. I have also heard that hazardous substances are produced during manufacturing, so these lamps are not environmentally friendly either.

Dangerous substances are not produced during manufacturing, but during disposal. However, this impacts the environment less than electricity generation.

I use energy-saving bulbs everywhere possible. Outside, I have a motion sensor, so the light keeps turning on and off. Unfortunately, I can’t use energy-saving bulbs there.

I don’t find the light any dimmer than with regular bulbs. It does take a few seconds to reach full brightness, which is true, but I don’t mind that.

Additionally, regarding the topic of cost, it should be noted that these energy-saving lamps last much longer than regular ones. So, when comparing prices, you can divide the price by 3, as these lamps likely last three times as long.

I only buy energy-saving lamps now. Whenever I need a lamp, I choose energy-saving ones because they are simply cheaper in the long run. As I mentioned, they use about a quarter of the energy and last much longer, which is also my impression.
