Hello,
what do you think about the expensive energy-saving lamps? Personally, I don’t like them—they are more expensive, don’t produce bright light, and look unattractive.

gti_klaus5 Dec 2007 07:47I still won’t switch. I just find regular light from standard lamps much nicer and more comfortable. Saving 5€ on electricity doesn’t help me if I don’t feel comfortable anymore and keep getting annoyed by my lighting because I simply can’t read properly, etc.
Hello,
the new generation of energy-saving lamps is hardly distinguishable from traditional light sources. The light has become warmer and more pleasant, and tinted lamps are also available. Additionally, they come in many different shapes and can save a significant amount of money when used throughout the entire house.
Just take a look at what’s available at your local lighting or hardware store.

I have switched to energy-saving lamps throughout the entire house, and I can say it really pays off. Of course, it doesn’t help much if you only do this in 2-3 rooms, but it really makes a difference when applied throughout the whole house!

nicobischof12 Jul 2008 23:51Hello!
In my opinion, energy-saving lamps are very practical, at least in rooms where the lights are often on in the evening. I wouldn’t necessarily use them in a storage room or bathroom, but for example in the living room, where the lights are often on in the evening, it makes sense to switch to energy-saving lamps after not too long.

Maier GmbH22 Jul 2008 23:18Hi!
Like with everything, so-called energy-saving lamps have both advantages and disadvantages. The important thing, in my opinion, is to use them correctly. Then there are no disadvantages. If you switch compact fluorescent lamps on and off very frequently, their lifespan is drastically reduced.
