Johann19862 Jul 2016 10:09Hello, I have a question as I am not experienced in this field.
Today, our groundwork started, and I have a question about the electrical installation.
What do I need to consider before the concrete slab is poured? First, the foundation grounding has to be done, correct? And then? Are the walls built up afterwards? How did you proceed?
Thank you very much for your help.

Are you doing everything yourself?
When preparing the ground, you should follow the current standard for foundation and ring grounding if possible: DIN 18014:2014-03. However, this is rarely done, as many architects, structural contractors, and electricians have never heard of this standard. In many cases, the structural contractor carries out undocumented work that does not comply with the standard.

What should be considered regarding the grounding ring? Either the component is grounded, or it is not. In the second case, that is a major failure; in the first case, no one will ever notice. Nevertheless, it is definitely a good idea to have it done or to know someone who can help you with it.
