Good evening,

This is my first post here, so hello again!
I have bought an older house that needs renovation.
The electrical wiring is old and needs to be completely replaced.
I know an electrician who comes from abroad; he is very skilled and owns an electrical company there. Unfortunately, he has no experience with the paperwork involved here in Germany. That’s why I would like to ask you how the process usually works.

I thought—just my assumption—that the electrician can install the wiring, but afterwards a certified master electrician needs to inspect the installation and sign off on the approval. Is that correct, or is it more complicated? 🙂

Could you please explain the typical procedure, what to watch out for, and what kind of costs I can expect?

Best regards,

The oil heating system will certainly need to be inspected by the chimney sweep.
