ᐅ Door catch with small lever

Hello,

perhaps someone has already done this.

I would like to replace the standard door latch with one that has a small lever to set it to open/closed. This would allow the front door to be opened without a key by simply pushing it. I think you know what I mean. It should not be electrical, just operated by the lever.

Is this always possible? What should be considered?
I have a front door from Kebotherm and a continuous locking strip.

Maybe someone can share their experience.

Thanks! 🙂

We didn’t even know we had something like this.. We weren’t familiar with it either. Our neighbor was the one who first pointed it out to us.. 😀 Now we find it very useful.

We have a similar bargain here from the same manufacturer. You have a trade list, right? Maybe you could ask the window and door installer if they can get one?
Best regards

@fach1werk
Hello Gabriele,

you’re right, I hadn’t thought of that. I did contact Kerbotherm by email, but I hadn’t considered reaching out to the installation company. Thanks for the tip 🙂

So, I received an email from Kebotherm with a quote for the floor trap including delivery and installation, VAT included, for an astonishing 430€. Or without installation, just shipping, for a mere 160€.

That really took me by surprise... At least now I know which part I need... 😀

Quick question for the experts:

The door opener is called 118E530 and apparently comes with the additions D11 and A71, which stand for two different voltages. Since I don’t have power for it and don’t need it, I can go with the cheaper option, right? Or are there any objections?

Thanks!

Yes, go with the more affordable one.

Google also offers retrofit "day locks" for a low price. I have no idea about the quality, but it might be worth researching a bit more here.
