Hello,

We are currently trying to understand the building specification for a semi-detached house. Can someone explain whether the waste pipe ending 0.1 m (4 inches) outside the building edge still needs to be connected somewhere? To me, it sounds like this might involve additional costs, right?
It would be great if someone could provide an answer for me.

Yes, these still need to be connected.
Most of the time, this is done as part of owner-managed work.

Great, thank you very much for the quick response. The costs are probably also related to the distance of the connection, right?

Common Practice of Many General Contractors

The costs depend on many factors. Not necessarily just the length, but of course, it is a significant driving factor.

How can I find out how many thousands of euros I need to expect? Is that even possible?

You need to check with your utility provider what regulations they have and what is mandatory. Then it depends on what you can do yourself and what you need to have done by others.

After that, contact any local civil engineer or some landscaping companies to find out their pricing.
