ᐅ Determine the living area according to the official living space regulations, not based on DIN standards or other guidelines.

Hello everyone,

I would like to understand how the following rooms are counted towards the living area according to the German Living Space Ordinance (Wohnflächenverordnung):
- Attic: Is it correct that an unfinished attic is not included in the living area? If the attic is finished, would rooms specifically designated as attic spaces still be counted?
- Hobby room: I have read that this is counted at half or not at all, regardless of natural light.
- Balcony/Terrace: I have seen that these are counted between one-quarter and one-half, while elsewhere it is said they may not be included at all.

I am specifically asking about the calculation of living area according to the Wohnflächenverordnung, not according to DIN standards or other methods.

Yes, that is not considered living space.
