Hello,

Today I installed my Udden HW 320 range hood, which I would like to operate in recirculation mode. I have installed a suitable activated carbon filter, but unfortunately, the switch cannot be changed from exhaust mode to recirculation mode. It’s stuck, and I’m afraid of breaking it. Has anyone experienced similar problems and can offer any advice? What would happen if the switch stays in exhaust mode? Could it be that this is not a problem as long as the carbon filter is installed?

Thank you very much and best regards,
Grotho

...in the meantime, I have found the cause of the stuck switching flap: it has a locking screw located next to the lever, right in the middle of a logo, which locks it open/closed. You need to remove it with the included special star screwdriver bit, adjust the flap, and then tighten the screw again. If you don’t do this, the flap will always default back to exhausting the air. But someone could at least explain that. The suction power hasn’t improved, though. At least now we have the option to direct the fumes into the hood housing or push them towards the ceiling, well...

@maninblue: Thanks for your explanation. That clarifies the question about the switch, but the poor exhaust values still remain unexplained...
