Hello everyone,
I would like to hear your opinion on a quote I received.
- Photovoltaic system with 10 kWp
- Storage battery with 6.5 kW
- Including installation
About 25,000 euros
That seems a bit high to me... so I’m asking here in the forum.
Thanks and best regards

My concerns include exactly the points you mentioned 🙁
On one hand, I like to trust and so far have had a pretty good impression of the friendly and reliable local small business, but when it comes to amounts approaching five figures, I have to think twice.
On the other hand, if you consider it from a more understanding perspective, you can also see why the small local provider might be reluctant to install a five-figure system and then potentially have to chase the money without being able to remove the system from the roof. I’ll probably need to sleep on it.
What other recommended options are there to ensure a safe outcome that benefits both parties?
Direct debit?
Bank guarantee?
…?

Just a different question: Is it common practice to pay the local installation company upfront for the materials? In my case, this accounts for 65% of the total amount, which honestly doesn’t make me very enthusiastic…This is actually uncommon for photovoltaic systems. The first invoice is issued after material delivery, the second after installation, and the third after final commissioning.S

At the time, we agreed that since it was unclear how the feed-in tariff would develop in the future, we would have a special right to withdraw if it were to be discontinued by the time of implementation. What is the current situation regarding the feed-in tariff? We are also planning a photovoltaic system... yesterday, he mentioned something like: "Commissioning around January 2022."
@SlippySken
Since the gigawatt cap has been lifted, the feed-in tariff continues but decreases month by month. The crucial factor for the individual tariff rate is the commissioning date. The rate at that time is then guaranteed for the entire duration, even though it will continue to decline afterward.
The strategy should be to maximize self-consumption due to the now comparatively low tariff. The tariff is basically just a bonus at this point. You can negotiate the commissioning date a bit with the solar installer to have it set as early as possible, in order to secure the highest possible rate for the duration of the tariff.
