One difference I have noticed among some companies is that some use KVH timber for the roof structure, while others use "technically dried softwood." KVH is supposed to be of higher quality, and some say it is important, while others claim it makes no difference.

How important is KVH, and for what is it important? What would you choose or have you chosen?

In a traditional, concealed roof structure, KVH (planned squared timber) is not necessary. KVH is more dimensionally stable than other types of wood, but in this case, that does not matter.
