Hello,
we are currently planning our house construction, and my partner has scheduled an appointment with the building consultancy Almondia. He hopes to receive professional advice for us as inexperienced first-time builders regarding the choice of construction company, planning, budgeting, and so on.
I, on the other hand, am wondering whether this company is trustworthy or if they only promote and refer paying companies (similar to various insurance comparison websites). The reviews for the company are quite positive—except for complaints about a fee of 1500 euros if you do NOT proceed with Almondia as the intermediary after the consultation... Hmm.
Does anyone have experience with this?
Best regards and thanks in advance
Miriam

Last year, during the initial research phase, I also got in touch with Almondia. We even had a first informal consultation, but since I had two plots of land tied to specific developers at the time, a brokerage arrangement was never going to happen. I communicated this from the start, and they were still open to having a discussion. However, I was based in Berlin, so I was able to visit them in person. I doubt they would have traveled out for this kind of situation.
The conversation was relaxed and positive, but it mainly covered general topics such as the idea that solid construction is not more expensive than prefab and that prefab is not faster than solid construction (in terms of total project duration), different building materials, and additional construction costs.
Almondia was even willing to review the detailed construction scope and give me some advice, but I didn’t follow up because a lot of time passed before I finally signed my contract, and I had already gathered a great deal of knowledge here on the forum.
Overall, I had a pretty good experience, but my project never really progressed to a full phase with Almondia. So, I can’t comment on how they perform throughout an entire project.
Best regards
Tolentino
