Hello everyone,

We are about to finalize the order for our new kitchen. However, we are still a bit unsure about cleaning the oven and are therefore deciding between pyrolytic cleaning and hydrolytic cleaning.

-> Has anyone had experience with these two types? We would really appreciate any help.

By the way, if it matters, the oven is planned to be built in at mid-height, so we would prefer telescopic runners.

Thanks for your feedback and recommendations.

No matter what option you choose, you will need a cloth and cleaning agent for all types, as the oven unfortunately cannot fully clean itself.

For us, the cleaning method does not matter. The selected oven from Neff offers Easy Clean (probably similar to Hydro Clean). Our old oven already had this feature, but we hardly ever use it since we still have to clean manually anyway...

We don’t have either of those and manage well with a sponge and dish soap.
I use a pot sponge with just water and dish soap and can easily remove all baked-on residue.
We use the oven very frequently... just recently, two ducks enjoyed a long sauna session in the oven.

However, I know many people who swear by pyrolytic cleaning... for me, it’s just too much hassle...
